I wrote this game for an autumn jam – I wanted something comfortable, where you can slow down and play for low stakes.
Every road has its end, and after every adventure one must rest. That's what you're hoping for when you arrive at the tavern. It quickly becomes clear, however, that being an adventurer is a full-time job – and here too tasks await you, ones that may not determine the world's fate, but even small matters need handling eventually.
In The Tavern you'll play for low stakes, won't encounter many dangers, won't make difficult moral choices. This is a game for unhurried gatherings over hot chocolate and in warm sweaters.
