When I translated *The Returning into Polish, I was fascinated by the concept of a story after the end of another story – epic events conclude, and life goes on. This game was also my first serious attempt at creating a one-pager.*
The climactic moment of all stories occurred – the battle of Good versus Evil. The only thing known about its outcome is that all people involved in the conflict lost. When the battle dust settles, you set off on your journey home. Where it will lead you, however, remains to be seen.
The Gods... is a solo game where you tell a story about losing illusions and your former life, while the next chapter is only a beginning. Gameplay unfolds in the time between, and it's up to you what your fate is going to be. Leave the ashes behind and start building anew.
